16 months ago I stepped onto a jet propelled bird which transported me from my beloved Portland to London and over the rainbow, this was the beginning of the Fallen Empires tour. In that 16 months we as crew, band and family gl
obe trotted to places far and farther. Europe, Asia, U.K., Middle East, Australia, North, Central and South America. We worked hard, played hard and became closer than ever before.
When you spend that much time with the same people day after day, working and living together (in very close quarters) you learn a great deal about them as well as yourself. I have and continue to learn how much I love my S.P. family, how much we all love our work, how much we love bringing, building, operating and preforming our show for you, the fans.
But all things must end for new ones to begin and begin it has. This next year will see new adventures for the S.P. family & friends such as the debut record from Little Matador, the next Tired Pony record and even the first live shows from The Windsor Player. The next adventure’s have already started and we are all anticipating where they will take and find us.
So with big smiles and big love I thank you, the fans for your enthusiasm, love of music and continued support for it. And as I once again step onto a jet propelled bird which will transport me back to my beloved Portland, return me over the rainbow to family, friends and loved ones, five words ring true…”There’s no place like home.”
